We've got knowledge of a press conference for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in Lisbon, Portugal, on the 30th January, that is next Friday.
Caros Portugueses, not much longer left for sales to begin, and don't forget, we want to hear your opinion.
Some of the Portuguese can already own one of these by getting it from Spain, where it is already selling, but we are not sure whether the language is included in it.
The other problem is that we don't know how to change product codes on Symbian OS9.4 phones, so we can't change languages or update with non-regional firmware.

I had no idea that there was a Nokia 5800 in grey. I thought it was only in red and blue.
Do you know where this colour is sold, or have live images? We'd like to see them.
The only time I saw it was at the Symbian Smartphones Show 2008, and it was in blue and red colour, so I'm quite interested to see the new colours.
I'll be at the Mobile World Congress 2009 in Barcelona, and I'll see whether I can spot this colour, but what's racing through my mind right now is the Nokia N97, I wonder how that will compare with the 5800 in terms of units shipped.

Nokia has just announced that the first S60 Touch UI-based phone, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, has been shipped over one million times to the UK.
The Finnish-giant also said that in the first day, more than 150 costumers queued for the 5800 to start selling at the Nokia Flagship Store on London's Regent Street.
"The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been received very positively and this milestone is just further proof that people all over the world want a device that is not only a great music experience, but also makes the most of touch screen technology," said Jo Harlow, Vice President, Nokia.
There is no information when it will roll-out in other countries. We believe it's already selling in Malaysia, Spain, Russia...and that's it. If it's selling in your country, let us know!

Nokia 5800 XpressMusic shipments reach 1 million milestone as Nokia marks successful UK sales start
Espoo - Nokia announced today that it has shipped the millionth Nokia 5800 XpressMusic device, a milestone that coincides with the successful sales start of the device in the UK. The latest in Nokia's XpressMusic range, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic is the company's first mass market touch screen device.
Following its introduction in October 2008, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has seen successful sales starts in a number of markets, including Hong Kong and Moscow where the device sold out within hours of the sales start. Earlier today at the official sales start of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in the UK, more than 150 customers queued outside the Nokia Flagship Store on London's Regent Street to be among the first to own the device.
"The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic has been received very positively and this milestone is just further proof that people all over the world want a device that is not only a great music experience, but also makes the most of touch screen technology," said Jo Harlow, Vice President, Nokia.
The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic offers a complete music experience and features a number of music and entertainment essentials, including a graphic equalizer, 8GB memory for up to 6000 tracks, support for all main digital music formats, and a 3.5mm jack. Built-in surround sound stereo speakers offer the industry's most powerful sound.
For the best screen resolution available on a mobile phone, the 3.2" widescreen display brings photos, video clips and web content to life in vibrant color and true clarity. With a 16 by 9 aspect ratio and 30 frames-per-second playback and recording, the device is ideal for VGA quality video recording and playback. The Nokia 5800 XpressMusic also features a 3.2 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens and, with a single touch, images or videos can be shared via a favorite online community, such as Share on Ovi, Flickr, or Facebook.

The Blackberry Storm and iPhone 3G rival, Nokia 5800, the Nokia which won't YET "come with music", the Nokia known as "tube", is now being launched in United Kingdom. This was a very speculated launch date as Nokia said that would release this device after Christmas. So, 23rd January is the date defined to release the 5800 in a few selected places - Nokia Flagship Stores in Heathrow Terminal 5 and Regent Street and the Nokia online store. 30th January is the date for the release in all other places via Orange, T-Mobile UK, O2, Virgin Mobile, CarePhone Warehouse and Phones4U.
249 GBP (277 EUR) is the price set for this mobile phone in this country, which is a bit lower than the actual price we see in the net, over 429$ (313 EUR). We have been seing strong volatility in the stock market but also in the foreing exchange market, so this price difference is related to those strong market movements.
As you already know Nokia 5800 Xpress Music is a mobile phone dedicated to music and now he have INQ1, which is a Facebook dedicated mobile phone. So, which of this mobile phones is better? 5800? INQ1? It's at least a difficult question because they were done for different purposes but with the same objective: to work in the interaction between users and phones.
5800 is all about music? INQ1 is all about Facebook?
No way, INQ1 uses all this Facebook relation to make the device possible to gather data from social networking contacts to your phone book list for example, the device is much more than a simple "social device" for "famous social networking people".
Master theme-maker Pizero has once compiled not one, but two themes for the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic, the Blue Haze, and Red Haze.
Both themes are 100% SVG, the Flahorn icon pack is included, and there's a Lite version with standard Nokia icons. The website where I got this from, SymbianpOp, advises users to activate the Lite version, because the icon pack is not complete.
The themes fit both landscape and portrait mode.
