The Blackberry Storm and iPhone 3G rival, Nokia 5800, the Nokia which won’t YET “come with music”, the Nokia known as “tube”, is now being launched in United Kingdom. This was a very speculated launch date as Nokia said that would release this device after Christmas. So, 23rd January is the date defined to release the 5800 in a few selected places – Nokia Flagship Stores in Heathrow Terminal 5 and Regent Street and the Nokia online store. 30th January is the date for the release in all other places via Orange, T-Mobile UK, O2, Virgin Mobile, CarePhone Warehouse and Phones4U.
249 GBP (277 EUR) is the price set for this mobile phone in this country, which is a bit lower than the actual price we see in the net, over 429$ (313 EUR). We have been seing strong volatility in the stock market but also in the foreing exchange market, so this price difference is related to those strong market movements.

The Nokia website says that the preorder is for 23rd FEBRUARY…. not January. You got my hopes up to get it in less than 2 weeks when its actuallly like a 6 week wait! Damn Lol!

Does anybody know when it comes to USA by means of a cell phone provider ? With no plan/provider I’ve seen it for US$400 here ( http://www.cti-miami.com ) .
I’ve preordered the phone from the Nokia shop, and I enquired as to when I’ll receive the phone as an email said 3-4 weeks! I was told that stock is expected on the 23rd however I won’t receive it til early February even though I picked express delivery (1-3 days)
reckon they’ll just ship it as soon as they receive stock or will I indeed be waiting til Feburary?
Well it’s the 23rd today so let’s wait and see!
I already got the iPhone 3G while I was waiting but if I am impressed with this Nokia 5800 I will sell the iPhone and get one of these instead as long as I get free internet access on pay as you go like I do on my iPhone 3G.
