Hi,
you just can download noki qr code -

it says do not compatible , continue - and will work at least in my case!Posted 3 years ago # -
Its true. The Nokia barcode reader works just fine on the 5800. It is very slow though and on occasion can't read the codes. I cant wait until i-nigma releases the new version. They have the best of the readers out there.

Talking of barcode readers check out the Microsoft tag. I'd say it works fine on 5800 even if the installer says that is incompatible with the phone. The lack of directional buttons (or joystick) is barely noticeable as one could switch between the different modes from the 'options' button.
'johnbro' Mine is V11.0.009. I am still looking around to find a way to update to V20. So far the software updater says that I've got the latest update. I am not fussed though- I have other pressing problems with the phone. See topic http://nokia5800.net/forum/topic/suspicious-unauthorized-wifi-access if you can help.

One other very useful thing I've found is the Mobile Barcoder add-on for Mozilla Firefox. Check it out here. It comes really handy when you want to access a link or info you've found on your PC but you do not want to spend the time looking for it on the internet through the phone. Installing applications, direct access to web sites, text conversion- it is all a breeze.
