I have just bought a 4-month old used 5800 on eBay which was originally used by the seller on Orange. He assures me it is unlocked. I hope to be able to use the phone with my o2 simplicity SIM. Will I have any problems?
A couple of more specific questions on the same matter - assuming my 5800 does work with my o2 sim... a) is the phone likely to come with Orange branding in the software (e.g. welcome screen, link to their web service or such like), b) Will I be able to upgrade the firmware via Nokia's website directly, would this get rid of any Orange-branding (if there is any)? c) Or, because I have an o2 sim, would I have to go via o2 to get firmware/software updates?
