OMG thanks sooo much! My phone suddenly went blank, and I couldn't see the homepage even though I could still lock/unlock... Tried restart, nuttin worked. Then tried the green + red restart... worked like a charm... so happy to get my phone back! XDDDDD
Let me add my thanks. I had the -stuck at Nokia screen- thing and thought I was in real trouble as I was about to go on an extended trip where I'd need the 'phone. Tried everything then found your post, although the hardware reset didn't do it at first (more panic), removing the memory card then doing the reset did....brilliant, thanks to all. Why Nokia, one of the biggest makers of mobiles, can sell a product with such weakness is beyond me.
