Free Nokia Apps: Counter by OffScreen

By Rodney Garcia | August 16, 2009

Do you remember the old way of counting the people in a crowd with a manual clicker? By pushing a small button, this counter clicker increases in number. Fast forward to today, the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone becomes your digital counter clicker using the Counter application from OffScreen.

The Counter application is very simple. The big plus (+) button increases the number by one (1). This is uniquely placed on the lower part of the screen which lets your thumb fit and land nicely on the touch screen. The small minus (-) button decreases the number and found at the top of the counter number. It was placed there so that it will not be accidentally pressed during tabulation.

There are three buttons at the top of the screen: The “I” button tells the default “About Offscreen” window, the “0” resets the counter back to zero and the “X” closes the application. The numbers are big and can be easily seen. When you click either plus or minus buttons, the numbers scroll upward or downward in a fluid motion.

Also, the response time of the Counter is excellent. When you click the buttons, they react quickly. You can only count until “9999” which I think is enough for us users.

The Counter application is FREE to download at the Ovi store. You can download the application directly to your Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phone via the Ovi application.
