Memory card plays an important role for our phones. In order for your Nokia 5800 to function as its intended to, you need a memory card. That's why it's included in the box when you bought your phone. We just want to talk about on some of your options when it comes to buying or adding memory to your beloved Nokia 5800.
I know some of you will say that 8Gb is enough memory for me. But eventually you're going to run out of space. Music is one of the main purposes of this phone, that's why they named it XpressMusic. You'll be adding new music as they come along and of course don't want to delete because of space issues.
As of right now, 16Gb is the only one supported by Nokia, however no one is stopping you to put more memory, the more the better. One thing that I could think of, if you put more than 16Gb, it might slow your phone drastically into a crawl when accessing the memory card. But it won't hurt to try.
Here are some link that some of you might already know, where you can order MicroSDHC memory cards:
We did some of the research for you; all you have to do is click on the links. Also, to my opinion, it doesn't matter what brand you choose, especially nowadays were budget is pretty tight. Just decide what is best for you.
If anyone has successfully upgrade their memory to 16Gb and more, please visit our forum and let everyone know.

Ok I have brought a 16gb memory card but how do I copy everything thats installed on the 8gb card that comes with the phone onto my new memory card ?? I have tried copying the files from a pc but lose some files any answers…???
1. Open any explorer window
2. (Only if you use Vista) press and release [Alt] once
3. Click Extras -> Folder settings
4. Choose the tab that is called something like “view”
5. In the list, find the entry “Hidden files and folders”, select “Show all files and folders”
6. Click OK
7. Copy all the files again, this time Windows should copy all files.
Did this help?
You can try this,
*Back up all your files using PC suite, make sure you check everyhing when it asks you what to back up( this might take a while)
*After backing it up, remove the 8Gb( make sure you press power and select remove memory card)
*put the 16Gb and do the restore from the back up file that you created
That should do it.
Well, it IS actually important how much you pay for you SD card. You shouldn’t pick the cheapest one, or else it might be so slow that it slows down each and every application of your phone that somehow makes use of it.
Ich würde das Geld zuerst in einen Deutschkurs investieren und nicht in eine Speicherkarte.
Thanks Christoph your a Star
Making sure that the folder options in Windows Explorer on Xp is set to Hidden files and folders this worked a treat..
Cheers
