Muslim Apps: Mozzaker – Daily Azkar and supplications for Nokia 5800

Last year ASGATech offered their Nokia compatible applications for free and you were able to download all the Islamic applications from the Nokia official website. Now these applications got more developed and you can now buy them and get them for Ramadhan. This Ramadhan we will review some of these Islamic applications, not because they are Islamic but mainly for the features they were able to run on the Symbian S60 5th edition. Indeed, the team from ASGATech made a good and simple job that can make the company generate tons of sales besides a partnership with Nokia.

When I contacted ASGATech they did not replied to my e-mails, and only after 2 months or so we got applications to review from them. I immediately downloaded and installed all of them on my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic. These applications for Nokia 5800 are quite easy to install and they have no bugs. You can see below a screenshot of all the applications that ASGATech offered us for review:

I had the idea that when I would turn on the Quran Application and use the audio it could crash the phone, but I was completely wrong as the application is compatible with S60v5 and you will get no bugs, no errors nor crashes running the Mozzaker and other apps on the 5800.

What is the Mozzaker application?

The Mozzaker app allows you to listen, search, translate and bookmark on your Nokia 5800 a huge collection of Daily Azkar/supplications and even to select your favorite narrator voice. Personally I like the default pre-installed intense voice. The number of Azkars and supplications is almost unlimited and you can download all them from the application menu by connecting to the internet and automatically downloading from the website to your Nokia 5800 Mozzaker application.

All the ASGAtech applications normally use the SMS functionality from your Nokia 5800 and there's no exception with the Mozzaker, as you can send all Arab mozzakers from your phone to your friends and family.

Translated in 3 languages

The Azkar application is translated into English, French and Urdu which means that all the supplications can be read on these languages and when you download a new supplication it comes with all the translations. The only problem and an aspect that need to be improved in the translated Azkars/supplications is regarding the listening of Azkars in these languages and the fact that we cannot send via SMS/MMS the translated azkars.

The menu is very easy to access, as you have it divided into Morning Azkar, Evening Azkar, Sayyidul Istighfar, General Supplications and Beads. There is also a Search icon, but the search engine isn't so good as probably you won't find what you are needing to find...well...there's nothing as Google. Indeed a very simple to use application.

On the General Supplications you have all the most known Duas/Supplications, such as the Waking up, Leaving home, entering home, all translated into English and with listening function - The listening function won't reproduce always the full hadith/supplication, but only the most important part.

You have also the Azkars functions and Sayyidul Istighfar that work the same way as the General Supplications.

Finally, you have the beads, that you normally pray after Asr prayer. This is very well done and thought and can be developed much more, as counting the total number of Tasbih/Beads prayed and adding new beads very well known in the Islamic world.

Cons:

-There are many improvements that can be done on this application

-Impossible to send text message with the translated supplications - Impossible to listen the translated supplications

Verdict

For 4,99€ this is a must buy application for Muslims and a very interesting application for the Symbian S60. Now I can understand why Nokia supported ASGATech with this type of apps on the past year.
