Nokia 5800 App Review: Chess Pro II – Fire your brains

By Anunay Kumar | February 3, 2010

Chess Pro II as the name suggests is a Chess board game that you can play on your Nokia 5800. The game has a feature rich design with a customizable user interface. You can choose between a number of designs for your pieces. You can even change the screen layout and boards to different shades of color. If you are an expert player and understand the movement notations then you can change your view mode which allows you see the corresponding notations of all of your game moves. This game allows you to enjoy your play with the computer as well as your friends. You can switch on your Bluetooth and set the game to listen for new users in the preferences and play via Bluetooth with your friend. You can even play the game with your friend via SMS, you simply create a new human user and select it from your contacts.

You have a number of AI (Artificial Intelligence) users already created in the game with different proficiency levels (Expert/Intermediate/Beginner). Playing with the AI users is just amazing and you can spend hours playing this game. The very first game i played on my mobile i spent an hour because it is really addictive when you don't wanna lose and play till your very last piece is gone. Speaking about the stability of the game and resource consumption, it is designed for Nokia 5800 and runs smoothly and never gets your phone stuck.

The game has a replay feature which allows you to go through all of your moves in your current game and even resume from a specific move. If you are new to Chess, it has a learning feature that allows you understand how each piece is suppose to move on the board. I would suggest you buy this game because this game would never have a final stage that would end the game once you get it. Every time you play it is a new and a new game plan.

Buy Chess Pro II
