I was really glad when I first bought my Nokia 5800. One of the reasons was the fact that I got a free Zip Manager software from Nokia which made it so easy to decompress zip files and extract them. One of the problems I faced was decompressing the RAR files. I could not find single Symbian software which decompressed RAR files. As my last option, I used to rely on some java applications that did decompress the RAR files but most of the times it was with errors and took a long time which a number of prompts asking you to allow access to the application.

Free Unrar v1.01 is a RAR file manager for Nokia 5800. Free Unrar v1.01 is a Symbian application which works successfully on Nokia 5800. It is a completely free application and requires no registration. Just launch the application, locate your RAR file and select extract and the file gets extracted to a folder with the same name as the RAR file. It works quickly and without errors if compared to java RAR decompressors.

Free Unrar v1.01 is a must have utility for your phone and has some limitations but not so significant when it comes to Nokia 5800. It has general limitations which are not because of the application but due to the phone’s limitations in terms of RAM. It may not work if extracting a very large RAR file.
