Nokia 5800 App Review: gStorage – Access 6GB of Gmail storage space as a network drive
You may be familiar with Gmail Drive for PC which is a Gmail Network Drive on your PC which lets you access your Gmail's 6GB space as a online storage space in the form of a hard disk drive which supports drag and drop and other such common file operations. Now we have a similar drive on Nokia 5800 which is possible by installing gStorage. Thus, gStorage is an application that allows you to access your gmail account as a network drive on Nokia 5800. You can send and download files from the drive as you do with the normal drive on your phone. It not only allows you to upload files to your own gmail account but also send them to other email addresses. It allows you to search and download attachments from your email account based on Labels, file name, Gmail folders, etc.
It is a paid application but the demo edition allows you to upload and download files up to a size of 500Kb which is a decent size if your requirement is limited to small office documents. The full version will allow you to upload files to your Gmail account as allowed by Gmail policies which is around 25MB. It is just like sending an email with an attachment to your email account in a quicker and more convenient way.
gStorage keeps getting updates on a regular basis with improvements, enhancements and fixes. gStorage is compatible with Nokia 5800 and if you get any warning during installation saying it is not compatible, simply ignore it.
