Fring is a mobile chat client which i believe everyone of us are aware of. We know about the capabilities that Fring adds to your mobile phone when it comes to communicating over a number of IM services. We can interact on Gtalk, Skype, Yahoo, Aim, MSN, ICQ, Twitter and Facebook with Fring using WiFi or the data connection. The latest version of Fring brings Video Calling over Fring/Skype which is amazing and Fring claims itself to be the only such application providing such a service.
To use the video calling service all that you need to do is just search for the Fring/Skype contact on Fring and choose Video Call from the calling options. The video call facility is available to 'Fring -> Skype' and 'Fring -> Fring' calls. I hope they bring out video calling over Yahoo, MSN and Gtalk also. So now you can video chat with your friends either from Fring or Skype on PC.
There is another great news about Nokia 5800 Fringsters, they can video chat in both the directions that is you can see your skype contact and vice-versa. However, there is a limitation with Iphone which makes me glad, the Iphone Fringsters can only video chat in one direction because the device allows the video broadcast only in one direction during a call. This is yet another technology limitation with Iphone.

very nice! thank you for the post. as for the “little late… old news” comment… these articles are still relevant to people like myself who have just purchased a 5800 or other symbian phone. keep up the good work dude, peace!
Awesome review however, I still think that PALRINGO is the one for me!
Have you reviewed Palringo? It boasts much richer features- im, instant picture messaging but voice messaging, groups and location will keep me going back! I think its a much more stable application too!
