Nokia 5800 App Review: Mobile Paint

screenshot00014What else can I say? It’s a “paint” application for your Nokia 5800. It’s not as fancy as Microsoft Paint for Windows, or other image editing applications, but it sure does the job.

The tools are very user-friendly and it floats so you can maximize the space on your drawing.

There are eight buttons to select. First is to clear the screen, next is pencil which you use for free-hand drawing. Next to that is line, like other “paint” app, use it when creating straight lines. Circle and Square is self-explanatory. After that is the color selection, which gives us 16 colors to choose from, although white color is more likely to be use as an eraser. Level of thickness is also included. We have 3 sizes; it’s also good for erasing big parts of the drawing, and lastly the “undo” button, which only gives us one keystroke to undo. Lower left menu is to exit and save and on the other side is plain exit.

This nice application is not just for basic sketching and save JPEG to your phone to use as wallpaper, it can be also use as a notepad that you can draw on, send a reminder to a friend, or send a drawing to your love ones. Me personally I use it as a grocery list with matching drawing and note “this is what it looks like, please buy it” kind of picture message.

I’m sure the programmers are still in the process of adding more features.

Overall, Mobile Paint is simple, useful and good for killing time.

A simple application like this plus your imagination can go far beyond expectation.

Enjoy!
