MyPhone is a user interface (UI) that will give your Nokia 5800 an iPhone look. I always tease my friend that owns an iPhone that my phone can always transform to any phone interface because it's running on symbian, and iPhones can't do that. This application is using flash that is installed on our phones. Some of you might have come across this app; I'm just going to write an overview for those that have not bought this app.
First things first, the front wallpaper look is really neat; it even has a slider to unlock the phone. Technically you are just opening the MyPhone interface since your phone actually has it's own key lock, and if you have autolock turned on, that makes it three steps before you can actually use your phone. Once you entered the main menu, you'll see the icons similar to an iPhone, these icons are pointed to the apps and settings based on their names.
There are four screen pages for the menu. The first page consists of your most important and most used applications. Second and third page are your tools and settings. It also has an icon for quitting MyPhone and lock, to obviously lock, but what it really does is, sends you back to the front page. MySettings icon is for changing the wallpaper, although it comes with pre-installed wallpaper, it would have been nice if we can choose our own wallpaper, but you can use your own phrases as wallpaper. RSS feed icon is very functional, it let's you browse to your RSS feed in a nice interface. Weather icon is pretty simple, but it's nice to have. The fourth page is what they call MyApp page. You can assign any application you want; the icons were named Myself, which you can rename it, however you can't change the icon picture itself. As a default most of them are assigned to your internet homepage and settings. Also I want to mention, the bottom three icons, which is defaulted to your contacts, SMS, and call. You can always change it to whatever you want.
Rotating screen is not allowed when using this interface; it will tell you to rotate back to normal in order to use the menu. Another cool feature is when moving the icons. You can press and hold any icon, and all icons will start to shake, just like the iPhone, and then you can select the icon where you want it replace.
To sum up, this application will give you a total iPhone feel. With MyPhone program installed on your phone, you have the option to change your defaulted S60 menu in just one click. This program is really sending a message to a lot of programmers and owners of Nokia 5800 that this is just the beginning of the new Symbian OS. This app rocks!

The message this application is really sending to owners of Nokia 5800 is that the Nokia’s interface sucks. I’m certainly tempted to buy MyPhone as I like the ease of use of the iphone.
No. I can’t agree with you. It gives the option to make an iPhone from Nokia Hardware.

i think is to install this application transforms the nokia giant to destroy the iphone
Dont get me wrong, I wouldnt swap my Nokia for the iphone for many reasons, but the iphone has a more userfriendly interface., there is no getting away from the fact. If that wasn’t the case then MyPhone would never have been created in the first place!
The fact that there is a need to copy the iphone at all is just confirmation that the iphone is worthy of copying. Why doesnt someone come up with something better than the iphone instead just trying to copy it. Like it or not, the iphone is here to stay. Maybe I will change my mind when there are as many free and useful 3rd party applications for Simbian v5 as there are for the iphone.. we can dream on.
would like the myphone app too!
I want to get a myphone app as it looks absolutely stunning to use iphone interphase on Nokia 5800
I don’t really like the iPhone interface. And I do like some aspects of the 5800 interface, but I want more flexability. I like the contacts bar, but I also want the launcher and the quickview of the upcoming calendar events. I also want a soft-button to get to my applications, because I find it a pain to hit the physical button when I’ve got the stylus in my hand.
I want the Nokia interface, but I want a little more control over it.
