Nokia Beta Labs has recently launched an application 'Nokia Diagnostics v1.0' for performing diagnostic checks on your mobile phone. This application does not have a lot of significant functionalities as of now but with this prototype Nokia is planning to build a solution for people where in they can troubleshoot their phone all by themselves. Nokia 5800 is completely supported by this application. Currently, this application does some basic checks on your phone which even you can do without this application.

You can check if your ear-piece is working fine or not. In order to judge this, the application plays your current ringtone which you have to judge if are able to hear or not. Then, to check the loudspeaker, it plays the same ringtone on your loudspeaker and asks you if you are able to hear or not. It can check for network coverage and signal strength. It also checks if your charger is functioning correctly or not and if your phone is getting charged. It also checks your internet connectivity. This application may sound useless for a lot of us but trust me there is surely an audience for such an application.
All tests passed
With time Nokia Beta Labs plans to add more sophisticated features to this application so that you and me can skip a lot of calls to Nokia Care Center spent in getting answers to some very basic problems that are faced in day to day use of Nokia 5800.
