You can download it right from your 5800 using Opera Mini or download on a desktop/laptop and then transfer the setup file (.sis) either by Bluetooth or USB to your 5800. The installation process is fairly simple and the application is installed in a matter of seconds.
Features:
The first time you start the application, the user has to register with Wavesecure and set a PIN. The application will need internet access (GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Wi-fi) to complete the registration process. Once you have registered, you can proceed to the following screen:

When you click on Secure Phone, you will be prompted to make the following settings:
Lock Phone settings
The first setting you need to make is to set the Lock on Sim change to ON. If you wish to be smsed of the present status of your device on a friend's mobile, that can be done using the buddy notification option. You will be prompted for the PIN, every time you make any changes in the settings. Let's explore the data backup section now:
Back up data
The first time you register with Wavesecure, a backup of data is done automatically and the application prompts for data access for the same. After the latest backup any new changes in the log will be displayed as in the above image. The options button has the following settings:

If you select Restore from web, you can decide what data you want to restore:

It has to be noted that restore from web, will need data access and hence one needs to consider data costs before using this option on your device.
Now, lets see what happens if you lose your device and a new SIM is inserted in your device. This is what welcomes the culprit when your device is turned on:
Phone locked screen
If you like to use more than one SIM on your phone, you don't have to fret. On changing the SIM, when you see the above screen, you just have to enter the PIN to unlock your phone and once you unlock, your SIM is added to the list of safe SIMs (these SIMs won' t trigger the lock phone option when the SIM is reinserted in the phone). This is one of the best features of this application.
What do you need to do when you lose your phone? Go to wavesecure.com and login with the the username and pin you created when you registered your phone. These are the options you have:

It can be seen that, there are several options varying from locking your phone (if the culprit has not attempted to change the SIM), tracking the present SIM on your phone and backup tools. Clicking on continue will lead to a page, where there is an option for editing the lock message to be displayed on your locked phone:

Unfortunately am not able to check this issue on my phone.. I had used an Indian SIM right after installing wavesecure myself and later I have used 2-3 SIMs from different countries and I have never seen “Please insert Indian SIM card” message. I am guessing this is because wavesecure is free exclusively for Nokia users in India.
The only way I can think of is to insert an Indian SIM right after installation of wavesecure and adding other SIMs to the list of trusted SIMs later. I know this is not feasible for everyone but thats the only thing that I can think of at this stage.

I think what you have downloaded is probably WaveSecure Lite – it provides the same security features such as Locking and Tracking the phone, but does not have data-centric features such as Data Backup and Remote Wipe.

I am using this application for last 4 months. But it is connecting to web with the mobile operator GPRS. I have wiFi connection in my home. But for back up purposes, i didnt see any options to change the connection to wifi. Always connecting with mobile GPRS> is there any options to change to wifi?

I have tried to install WaveSecure on my Nokia 5800 and installation completed successfully. But am unable to use this application and always getting the following error messages.

The temp PIN that is sent to the buddy is valid only for 5 min from the time its generated and make sure that you press the function key (bottom left ) while you enter the PIN.

The alternate no that i had registered to receive the Pin or details incase if my cell gets locked is no more in use, I donot remember my Userid or Password, Please help is there’s any default pin i can use or with an alternative. I am Husain, from Delhi India. I bought this nokia E71 phone 3 weeks back, i got the wave secure by default pre loaded, i never openend or tweaked with this feature. I didnt even get my phone backup done either by wave secure or by nokia PC suit (big mistake on my side).
Some one tweaked with my phone and accidently locked my cell phone the message of wave secure appears on my screen “Device Locked The phone’s memory is protected by wave secure, please enter PIN to access”. I havent had any one in my buddy list. I tried no 12345 & 123456 as pin it didnt work out. I even sent mail on support@wavesecure.com
