Mobile Download Accelerator is a free utility from 1000CHI Software. You can download this utility free of cost from Nokia Ovi Store. Follow this link to download the Mobile Download Accelerator. This application works almost the same way the desktop versions work. You can stop, pause and resume the download any time you want. It integrates with Nokia's mobile browser and starts the download as soon as you click on the downloadable link.

This application is essentially useful for users who are on 2G connections and experience frequent failure when downloading files above 1MB. I rate this application as a must have for Nokia 5800. I am able to download big audio and video files without any failure. The application has a nice interface with two different tabs which show you the file downloaded and the files currently getting downloaded. It has an option in its settings which allows you to choose if you wish to download a particular file using the Nokia's inbuilt down-loader or the Mobile Download Accelerator. Every time you click on a downloadable link, there is a prompt that gives you the option for selecting the download client.

The application auto detects a click on a downloadable link in Nokia's browser and runs in the background. You need not have it running before you launch the Nokia browser. The application interface also features a search utility where you can type in the file you are searching for and the application opens the search automatically in Google using Nokia's browser. Its a waste application to use on gprs. it halts every time if the netwoek is not proper and u need to manually restart it. And when u do so 2-3 times.. the file may completly download but gets curropted.. even 5MB songs get curropted.
