Ovi Music 11.4 is the first application update after the firmware upgrade. The new update does not change much, however, the navigation seems to be faster and smoother. With Ovi Music you can download songs directly on your mobile phone. You can search for your favorite songs, albums and artists. With huge number of songs getting added everyday to Ovi Music, it is becoming a necessity for any XpressMusic phone that Nokia has to launch. You require a Nokia Account in order to log into Ovi Music 11.4.
Recently, Nokia has launched the Ovi Music Unlimited in many countries which is offered free of cost with a new Nokia 5800 mobile phone. It is a subscription with which you can download unlimited free songs on your mobile and PC. It is sad that the older Nokia 5800 phones have not been included in this scheme. If you have an older phone and wish to activate this, you need to buy a Ovi Music Unlimited subscription. However, there is a catch. You cannot burn these songs on to discs and also only registered mobile and PC will be able to play these protected songs. But, still it is a good deal because you get to keep all the songs even after your Ovi Music Unlimited subscription ends.

My “Software Update app” on my nokia 5800 never finds new updates! It always searches and then claims it can’t find anything. It used to be able to find updates but not it does not. It seems as if it’s corrupted so is there a way i can uncorrupt it? Is there a userfile i can delete on my phone to uncorrupt it?
is it only v50 can make a upgrade to ovi music?
I do not think so, even older versions should be able to upgrade.
i restored to factory settings and that didnt fix it. i have v50…damn i wish i didnt have to do a hard reset for it to work..
