Nokia has released Live TV 1.1 for the Nokia 5800 via Application Update. It is 3772 KB in size. Nokia Live TV allows you to view TV channels on you phone. However, it is not so simple as it seems. You need an extra accessory for Nokia Live TV. It is the Nokia Mobile TV Receiver SU-33W. You need to buy this accessory and connect to it with your phone using Bluetooth. With Nokia Mobile TV Receiver SU-33W, you can receive DVB-H mobile TV broadcasting via Bluetooth on Nokia 5800. You can watch all your favorite TV programs and channels on the move. You can receive phone calls while you are watching Mobile TV on Nokia 5800.
However, DVB-H reception is not available in all the countries. DVB-H stands for Digital Video Broadcasting - Handheld and it is a sort of communication protocol for delivering digital video to mobile devices. To find out more about DVB-H, you can visit this link.

Awesome to see an app like this out. I am sincerely disappointed that the US doesn’t have any kind of network like DVB-H. Designing ATSC without this in mind was terrible and has really hindered our ability to keep up with Europe.
Hopefully ico mim will be up soon enough in the states and we could use something like this.

Thanks to Nokia/Ovi, I hav updated my Nokia 5800 with the live TV software and it’s working perfectly with the receiver.
