Nokia's own blog found this newsworthy, so it's clear that we will find it interesting as well. It's not torture, it's testing. We may disagree.

Very simply, here's the following that happen to the 5800:

• Drop test
• Walking-on test
• Washing machine, spin cycle, test
• -20C degree freezer test
• Dropping it into a jug of champagne
• Running tap test
• Placing it into a electric sander dustbag
• Finally, placing it under the wheel of a car

The last one happen to my Sagem MyMobileTV, and it survived with few scratches. The 5800 had its display broken, that's all.
