Nokia 5800 release date 8th of October

By Meraj Chhaya | September 8, 2008

According to an anonymous source, the release date of the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic will be on the 8th of October.

We had a feeling that it should be out by the 21st of October, as that is the Symbian Smartphones Show, but this source claims that it will be earlier than that.

We should be see more leaks as the release nears closer.

this phone looks good but the thing i dont like is that we have to use a stylus whereas iphone is totally touch. Its a good try from nokia to also extend their phone types but the prob is that every brand is trying to make phones like iphone. I like the specification of this phone because nokia owners were also complaining about the phones nowadays. For example the users of n81 r complaining that this phone has an average camera of 2 mp and doesnt have an os like the n78 even though n81 is a bigger model. So all i can say is thumbs up for 5800.

  2. admin says:

N81 isn’t bigger model, there are categories, that’s all

nokia has been around for many more years that any other phone company. They have the experience to create the best phones. I phone took whatever other companies had creates and put it all together that is all. Nokia is a very sophisticated company and i am sure it will beat i phone with the new 5800.

  4. admin says:

    I also think so!

nokia 5800 looks like the perfect iphone killer.
lets hope it lives up to that expectation.

but the only thing i could complain about will be the release date. please nokia dont announce the phone 6-8 months in advance and make people buy the other nonsense phones out there. let us have the real deal asap.

I can’t wait to try this phone! I’ve been fighting off the temptations to jump into the iPhone world but now there might be a legit contender.

Was going to buy the N85 or N95, do you think I should wait for the 5800

  27. Meraj Chhaya says:

It all depends on what you need on a phone. N85 has a great camera and other features, 5800 is great in general as a smartphone. You should perhaps ask the members of the forum, more advice is always better

  29. wence says:

5800 great phone no complains, i own one i bought in Vietnam early this year where i saw it first actually my only regret is that it does not show mobile tv or dstv as we have in nigeria, and i can`t get the su-33 modem around back home even after constructing the T.V. out cable on my own from headphone jack and A.V. three pin connectors. can it be upgraded to perform such function from software upgrade. :D cheers
