One of the most important countries and where Nokia 5800 will have a big battle trying to gain some market share against Apple phones and Sony Ericsson is the United States of America. So, it becomes so much important to announce the 5800 release date like we did before when we announced the first countries to have the 5800.
Nokia 5800 Xpress Music will go on sale through the retailers by 26 of February, being the suggested price of 399$. The price might be this one as there is not one carrier subsidy, so the chances of getting the 5800 cheaper are little. Anyway I was hoping a price of 350$, more 49$ I call expensive.
The unlocked Nokia 5800 US 3G version will be available at retailers and online sites like amazon.com, mobilecityonline.com, buy.com, newegg.com, tigerdirect.com, and then retailers like Nokia Flagship in NYC and Chicago, J&R Music in NYC, Just Mobile @ RCS Experience in NYC, Best Buy Mobile, many independent owned wireless phone dealers across the US, but not any carrier stores, have that in mind.
If you want to buy the 5800 Xpress music now, I advice you to make it from Ebay, because there you can find it at cheaper prices.(from 300$).
As you know Nokia 5800 will come with music for the USA, on which the tracks you download won't expire in one year, being the big advantage of the "Comes in Music" campaign.
Will you be in the release of Nokia 5800 in the USA? Will you buy it now?

I don’t think it’s worth to buy it from ebay, because those phones do not support US 3g and also don’t come with US warranty. I’ll definitely wait for the release and hopefully can find a deal on Amazon or Newegg.
The 5800 is now available for pre-order on nokia’s offical us site for $359.10. And comes with:
Amazon Video on Demand Voucher ($50)
Nokia Maps (1 month)

Just wanted to let you know if you check the cpecs on the model, this is the Euro 3G edition, NOT the US 3G version.
Just a reminder for US- T-mobile users, T-mobile is using their own frequency, 1700MHz which is pretty unique. Most of the 3G’s or HSDPA operates at 850 and 1900 Mhz like AT&T. Dont’ expect your 5800 to work on US T-mobile 3G.
