Nokia Image Space is an experimental research project and currently in the beta phase. It allows you to link your Flickr account and view all your pictures as well as those from your friends to which you have access. To use Image Space, it is required that you have a Yahoo account because it only integrates with Flickr currently.
Nokia Image Space actually allows you to create a snapshot of the area around you. As per Beta Labs, when you have enough photos for a particular area, Nokia Image Space will create a 3D presentation of the area. However, this particular feature is still under development and will be implemented in a couple of phases.
The supported browsers include IE, Safari and Firefox and you must have Adobe Flash 10 plugin for these browsers. Nokia Image Space has not been tested with Nokia 5800 however, it is known to support S60 5th Edition and tested on N97 Mini.
You cannot delete and upload photos from Nokia Image Space rather you can log into your associated Flickr account to perform these functions. However, you can edit and save comments, tags and photo description from Image Space. To use Nokia Image Space, you need to install Nokia Image Space Capture for S60 which is a small application (only 239KB in size).
You can access the Nokia Image Space browser at http://imagespace.nokia.com/beta/
Nokia keeps coming up with such amazing concepts that will surely retain its customers in the ever growing and competitive mobile market space. Please post your views and comments if you liked and understood the entire concept of Nokia Image Space.
