Protect your 5800 from Scratches with Invisible Shield

By Meraj Chhaya | February 26, 2009

Here at Nokia5800.net we receive daily e-mails of people asking how to protect the Nokia 5800 from scratches. Many of them have already broken their phones, and they don't know how to protect a touchscreen mobile phone. It is almost impossible to protect your Nokia 5800 from a single sratch or dent, even if you take your phone very carefully or something like that. 5800 is worth more that 250 euros which is an expensive device to let it get dented. Having this in consideration we always reply to those mails recommending them to buy at Zagg.com.

Zagg is famous for their "Invisible Shield" product, which is made for many cell phones particularlly to fit well on them. Well, Invisible Shield was made to protect your phone from every single scratch or dent, it is not a single cover that you buy on a Chinese Store, it is a lot more that that, it is an invisible shield indeed, that can covers only your screen or even all the 5800 phone, that's why it is made as ONLY "Screen Protector" or even "Full Body Cover". Those are available at Zagg.

I know what you are thinking, it would be impossible to use the touchscreen function from your Nokia 5800 Xpress Music whith a "Screen Cover" over it, but with Invisible Shield you don't have to worry about this, besides covering your touchscreen invisibly it will let you continue using the same functions of your cell phone, touchscreen with or without pen.

I bought a full body protector and until now no scratch! Below check a testemonial from one of our network websites:

I purchased the invisible shield a little doubtful but installed it any way.  A day later I dropped my phone in the concrete and to my surprise nothing was  wrong with it, not even a scratch. I have no problems using any of the buttons and the touch screen works the same as it did he first day I bought it. I highly recommend it this product.

I bought one of these a week ago, the screen protection is great, but some of the side protection doesn’t fit very well. I’m quite dissapointed.

Very ugly product . I bought not one and 3 of them , one for my cell , one for the Ipod touch 2nd gen , and one for my Ipod classic . My cell look like from year 2000 (new phone ) , Ipod touch looks ugly and the shield does not cover perfect , especially to the bottom button , where you start the Ipod , I am very disappointed , I waste $45 for a ugly not fitting plastic wrap . Plus you can not remove the film , just to trash it . Save your money .

if it doesn`t fit well can you take it off.?*

  10. John Wright says:

Yes , but after that you trash it because is not reusable .

  11. Fu says:

does it cover the proximity sensor????

  12. Xtopher says:

So I bought this online, when it arrived the bottle was opened and the solution had spilled out, was a bit pissed but got over it becuase its mostly water.

I applied it then noticed: Hey, it doesn’t protect the corners at all!… So now I have this stuff on my phone which will definitely protect against scratches but looks like its tape becuase its obvious it doesn’t fully protect it although they say “full body coverage” on their site… a couple days later I’m looking down and these huge gaps at the corners that are collecting lint, dirt, and dust… I scrapped the side and top pieces because of this… If you buy it don’t buy the full body becuase it looks like crap.

    screen protection works though
